What You Need To Know About Kaytee Clean and Cozy!

When it comes to Kaytee clean and cozy we recommend two types. The Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural Small Animal Bedding (brownish in color) and the Kaytee Clean & Cozy Small Animal Bedding (white in color) both UNSCENTED.
We do not recommend the scented ones as we believe they MIGHT be risky to your pet and you MAY also not like the smell once soaked in urine.

| It is very compact in the bag, but when you open it up, it will expands a ton It is very economical if you are on a budget. A single 85L bag of clean and cozy can last 3 months or more. Slightly dusty than Carefresh (dust it before putting it in the cage) How do you get rid of most of this dust and make it 99% safe for your pet? When you get the new bag, cut it open and put the kaytee clean and cozy in a large storage tote. Break it apart and run your hand through. This helps release the dust. If you are using aspen shavings, this can be a great addition for nesting material. |

| If you are unlucky you can get a bag infested with lice. Very unlikely though. To be 100% safe, it is recommended to freeze it for a day or two before use. It will not get rid of all smell 100%, it mostly helps in absorbency. Train your pet to use the litter, to make cleaning easier and bring down smells. |

| Hamsters, chinchilla, gerbils, degu and hedgehogs. Rats, mice, STOs and ferrets are prone/ sensitive to respiratory problems. If you want use Kaytee clean and cozy for them, make sure you get rid of the slight dust as stated above, just to be safe. |
