Ferrets Diet Constitute of 2 Main Components

1.FERRETS NEED PROTEIN (Raw Meat)
The most recommended ferret diet is raw meat. Try and get fatty meat, not entirely fatty, but with speckles of fat. This greatly improves their health, looks and gives them energy.
How To Prepare The Feeding Area
Assuming you have the ferret nation cage, which is the best ferret cage, we would recommend having the feeding area/kitchen area bedding stripped out to avoid dirtying your fleece. This will prevent a huge mess.

You can also give:
- Fatty acid supplements are also recommended but not really necessary if they are getting enough fat from meat.
AVOID dairy, fruits and vegetables. Carbohydrates are NOT GOOD either. Kibble ingredients may also not be that good for your ferrets.
2. Fresh Water
GET WATER BOWLS. If you give water through water bottles, you will be limiting their water intake. You may notice your ferret dip his or her head in the water. This is normal, do not worry, it’s called Snorkeling.
